Registration

Where can I register?

We currently have four DeeMoney branches located in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area, find your nearest one here.

How long will the registration take?

Our staff will ensure the process is as quick and pain-free as possible. We’ll set you up as a DeeMoney Member and help you complete the minor DeeMoney mobile app registration steps too as quickly as possible.

I don’t live in Bangkok, will other branches be opening soon around Thailand?

At present, we have only four branches in Bangkok However, we have plans to optimize our partnership with other money outlets to expand the number of places you can register in Thailand. We are also working to overcome the hurdles involved with realizing a full online registration process too in the near future.

What kind of documents do you have to need for the DeeMoney registration process?

You can become a DeeMoney Member with just ONE piece of identification. Whether it’s your Thai driver’s license or National ID card, your passport or your work permit, we’ll accept any one of these as long as it’s valid.

Do you need a long-term Non-Immigrant or Permanent Resident visa? Or is a tourist one sufficient?

Unlike Thai local banks, DeeMoney doesn’t require you to have any particular visa status. You can become a DeeMoney Member if you’re visiting Thailand for ten days or ten years.

Do you need a work permit to become a DeeMoney Member?

DeeMoney does not require you to have a work permit, but you can use one as your single form of identification if you wish.

Transactions

How much can I transfer?

You can send up to 800,000 THB per day. Customers can only send 690,000 THB per month via the DeeMoney Mobile application, but there is no limit if sending via any of our DeeMoney branches.

How much will my transfer cost?

DeeMoney charges a flat fee of 150 THB for international transfers to the following countries: Cambodia, India, Australia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America. However for China its 300 baht and 0 fee for Myanmar.

Are there any additional charges?

DeeMoney prides itself on being completely transparent about its fees. Compared to steep Thai bank charges of over 1,300 THB, with DeeMoney there are no hidden transaction fees, no recipient fees, and no surprise exchange rate fees. Just direct Thai baht to local currency conversions, so that you don’t incur any exchange losses between the sender and recipient bank.

How long will my transfer take?

The duration of international transfers depends entirely on the recipient country. You can follow the process of your transfer on the DeeMoney mobile app though, and you’ll receive a status update when your transaction is complete. Approximately 4 to 5 working days.

Rates

What's the difference between the Transfer Rates and Exchange Rates?

Glad you asked. At DeeMoney, we have two separate Rates for the two different transactions we specialize in. For currency exchange, please refer to our Buying and Selling rates which are as low as possible for our customers, thanks to our SuperRich partnership. These differ to the Transfer Exchange Rates which we aim to ensure are lower than Thai local banks for your international transfers. DeeMoney Online

How easy is it send money online?

Once you’ve registered in person at one of our DeeMoney branches, you can use either the DeeMoney mobile application or the DeeMoney Online Transfer Portal to make digital international transfers.

Add transfer recipients by using the correct account number format for the receiving country. The format varies depending on where in the world you’re sending your transaction to. Where can l download the DeeMoney mobile app?

Download the DeeMoney app here from the iTunes store or on Android.

How do l in to the DeeMoney mobile App or Online Transfer Portal?

You’ll need either your DeeMoney Membership Card or the mobile number you registered with in-person at one of our branches. Type either of these in and then enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent by SMS to confirm the sign-up process.

How do l pay for my transfer online?

DeeMoney offers multiple ways to credit your DeeMoney Member account and pay for your transfer. You can pay by Direct Bank Payment; at an SCB, Kasikorn or Bangkok Bank ATM; through the K-Plus Banking app; or via a unique QR code. General

This all sounds too easy. Is this legit?

DeeMoney is the first and only non-bank entity in Thailand to have obtained the necessary special international money transfer and money exchange licenses as issued by the Bank of Thailand. These include an Authorized Money Transfer Agent License, an E-Payment Service License Type C (3), and an Authorized Money Changer License.

The level of difficulty involved with setting up international money transfers with Thai local banks is often due to the individual bank and their set bureaucracy. Many expats have experience with the time-consuming administration involved as well as flat-out rejections for their international bank transfer applications.
